No doubt about it, rejection hurts.  It’s the moment when you’ve taken a risk to be vulnerable in some shape or form and you are met with the answer,  “No”.  You made a courageous act to put yourself out there and it didn’t go your way.  Now what???

Allow yourself the space to process the feelings you are experiencing.  Feel the embarrassment filling your cheeks with blood and making you blush.  Feel your heart beating out of your chest.  Feel you body tense with anger.  The energy is there and you can not sweep it under the rug.

How do you shift your energy from rejection to opportunity?

  1. Learn from it!
  2. Embrace rejection and see it as a porthole to your growth and success.
  3. Every time you are rejected you are one step closer to your dream.

Thomas Edison Failed 999 times before inventing the light bulb…just think how dark our lives would be if he decided not to try again?!

Have the courage to keep trying. Have the courage to risk being vulnerable again and again and again. Vulnerability is the birthing ground for change, innovation and creativity-get comfortable in your vulnerability and watch how quickly your life changes.

Now it’s your turn! In the comments section below tell me:

  1. When have you experienced rejection?
  2. How were you able to leverage it?
  3. What were the challenges you faced along the way?

I can’t wait to hear your stories and your triumphs. Don’t be shy, jump right in and let’s get to know each other.

x, Kerri

Thank you for this. I’ve been rejected in various ways throughout my life. Who hasn’t?
I’m currently building my second business after I felt like I failed at my first one. Although my second business is TOTALLY different than my first one, there is a common theme. I feel rejected every day! Thank you for the reminder that rejection…is simply a symptom for SHOWING UP! Its ok that I get rejected every day. Why? Because I have little and big wins every day too! I wouldn’t have either if I wasn’t doing the work!
