A limiting belief is a belief that we have about ourselves, someone else, or the world we live in that holds us back from living the life we want.
Limiting beliefs can be about money, relationships, health, spirituality, or pretty much any aspect of our lives. They are the most important factor in determining our happiness, success and fulfillment. Our beliefs influence our thoughts and our thoughts become our emotions and our emotions become our behaviors and our behaviors and actions create the world we live in. Beliefs are the foundation to which everything else unfolds.
….Beliefs are formed early on when we are exposed to situations, individuals or judgements that impacted us in a strong way. Many times, as children, we take on our parents limiting beliefs. It is only natural that we are influenced by the people we spend the most time with.
As adults, we now have the power of choice, we can choose which beliefs are serving us and which ones are holding us back. A belief is just a thought that we keep thinking over and over. If you want to change your beliefs as an adult, you must first become aware of what beliefs are holding you back and replace them with new beliefs.
